EJECTION SEATS

With the invention of jet power it soon became obvious that pilot safety was crucial. In the late 1940’s The Martin Baker company became the world pioneer in ejection seats technology eventually supplying 93 air forces globally and to date directly saved over 7,700 lives.

The ejection seats are an engineering miracle with the early MK’s being handmade by skilled craftsman. Here at Aviation & Binoculars we have professionally polished and mounted the ejection seats on a bespoke stand before having leather upholstery added. The polishing or chroming turns this incredible seat into a thing of historical beauty, each seat was specifically made for a certain type of aircraft with many of them coming from Britain’s golden age of jet aircraft production. Our most popular range has grown to include polished ejection seats from other manufacturers.
