Description

The Royal Air Force English Electric Canberra was a first generation jet-powered light bomber. It could fly at a higher altitude than any other bomber through the 1950’s and set a world altitude record in 1957 making it the perfect tactical nuclear strike aircraft.

The Canberra served in the Vietnam and Falklands War, before being retired from the RAF in 2006, 57 years after its first flight. It was powered with twin Rolls Royce Avon engines which were, and remain, state of the art technology. The table has been made from a Fan Blade section from within the Avon engine, it has been professionally stripped and chrome finished with the table top being made from toughened glass.
