USAAF B17 Flying Fortress Propeller
Aviation and binoculars is pleased to present a USAAF B17 Flying fortress propeller. This is an original propeller from a Second World War Boeing B17 Flying Fortress.
The B17 was an American four-engined heavy bomber developed in the 1930’s for the United States. A fast and high-flying bomber, the B-17 was used primarily in the European Theater of Operations and dropped more bombs than any other aircraft during World War 2. Over 12,000 of these incredible aircraft were produced with the vast majority flying over the channel from England into occupied Europe.
This is an original Flying Fortress propeller that was recovered in the English Channel off the Kent coast in England. We are unable to provide any provenance as to the original aircraft. It has been sympathetically restored back to its original metal and mounted on a secure black base. An incredible piece and worthy of any home or office space.
Here at Aviation and Binoculars we pride ourselves on having one of the widest selection of historically interesting artefacts available to purchase. Check out the full range of military collectables including an authentic Hurricane control column and Messerschmitt ME109 pilots grip.
