We always say that when it comes to making aviation inspired items of furniture Rolls Royce have already done all the hard work! The name Rolls-Royce is synonymous with luxury, innovation, and engineering excellence. The company was founded in 1904 by Charles Rolls and Henry Royce. The two pioneers came in together with a vision to create “the best car in the world,” and their collaboration birthed an automotive and aviation legend. From the very beginning, Rolls-Royce set high standards for quality and reliability, which quickly earned the brand a prestigious reputation. During World War I, Rolls-Royce began manufacturing aero engines, with the Eagle engine powering many Allied aircraft. The success of these engines cemented Rolls-Royce’s reputation in aviation engineering. The interwar period saw the development of the iconic Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, which powered legendary aircraft such as the Spitfire and Hurricane during World War II. This engine played a pivotal role in the Allied victory, showcasing Rolls-Royce’s engineering prowess.

In the post-war era, Rolls-Royce continued to innovate in both automotive and aerospace sectors, developing the first jet engines, including the RB211, which revolutionized commercial aviation. Rolls Royce produced nearly all engines for Royal Air Force planes and were sold around the word. Its commitment to cutting edge technology and innovative design kept it at the fore front of aviation, a position it rightly holds today. Today, Rolls-Royce remains a symbol of luxury and innovation, with a legacy that spans over a century. The company’s engines power not only luxury vehicles but also some of the most advanced aircraft in the world.
