Aviation and Binoculars are pleased to present a professionally polished ‘sidewinder’ missile.
The Aim – 9 Sidewinder missile was a short range air to air missile designed by the United States it was capable of Mach 2.5 with an operational range of 22 miles.
It was used by most western air forces and is regarded as one of the most successful missiles produced.
The missile can we broken down into two parts and has been mounted on a bespoke removable stand for ease of transport . It stands approx 4 metres tall, with a fin depth of 1 metre. This missile is made from a Phimat missile body with original side winder parts added giving a sleek pointed nose rocket effect to make it a stand out piece.
The missile range on our website has been one of the most exciting group of products that we have been involved with and this example is one of the best showing the engineering skills required to make these precision weapons.
These are all one off pieces making them a great home or display statement piece.
This would be great in any corporate or designer setting or simply as the coolest man cave purchase ever
Here at Aviation and Binoculars we pride ourselves on having one of the widest selection of historically interesting, man cave talking pieces – Please check out our other products including the ‘missile’ collection where you can own a Polished Rapier Missile or a De Havilland Firestreak missile.
