Aviation and Binoculars presents an impressive and unusual table made from a Royal Navy ‘Tigerfish’ torpedo table.
The MK 24 British Royal Navy Tigerfish torpedo was made by the British manufacturer G.E.C. as submarine launched sonar guided torpedo first developed in the 1960’s. It had the capability to have a nuclear warhead fitted and ended its service with the Royal Navy in 2004. This is a genuine piece of military hardware that would look stunning in any corporate or home ‘man cave’ environment.
The Torpedo gearing and double propeller system has been highly polished. A toughened glass table top has been added between the main body and the first propeller set to show off the elegant engineering and make it stand out as a one of a kind beautiful piece of furniture.
Height: 90.5 cm
Glass Diameter: 95 cm
