Aviation and Binoculars presents a pair of late 19th Century original Siebe Gorman diving boots. Siebe Gorman was a pioneer in the design of cutting edge diving equipment. Born in Belgium in 1837 he moved to London and in 1870 set himself up trading as Siebe Gorman & Company becoming the No1 manufacturer for diving equipment.

Amongst many ground breaking developments such as the closed circuit re breather system and innovative diving helmets, he also designed and made the highest quality diving equipment including these stamped diving boots. They were used by the Royal Navy, commercial divers and underwater explorers around the world.

They are made from leather and brass and have been sensitively and professional serviced with a treating of the leather and a polish of the brass.
