Torpedo Table
Aviation and Binoculars presents a unique and very unusual Submarine mine clearance propulsion system – Torpedo table. It is made from an Ex Royal Navy ECA Remote controlled mine disposal vehicle (Mk1) propulsion unit.
These underwater vehicles were the main stay of the Royal Navy and were used for the identification and destruction of bottom-laid and tethered mines. More than 500 of these system were in service with 20 navies throughout the world. The vehicles have completed more than 45,000 runs including many successful combat missions in the Red Sea, Falklands, Persian Gulf.
These were just too good to not be turned into a unique torpedo style table. They are in their original yellow paint which we think really makes them stand out. We have mounted them on a secure base and added a glass top table to make them a functional table.
